Places : Forget Me Not

June 7, 2010

I don’t know how I stumbled upon this local gem of a children’s boutique but I am so thankful I did!  On my first visit I met Ingrid owner of Forget Me Not (also the owner of The High Dive) and we quickly connected over kids, military, candy, tattoos and much more!  One of the first thoughts rolling through my mind when I entered her store was “I have to take pictures here!” and after several discussions we finally ironed out the details and guess what? I got to take my pictures!!

Audrey, of Bravado Designs, is the designer behind the vintage chic meets candy decor.  She took Ingrid’s dreams and made it into a visionary candy bowl (literally).  Working together we hopefully captured the magic that this gem holds in the heart of Pacific Beach community.

Thank you, Ingrid, for having a dream and not only reaching it but hanging on and swinging from it!  Thank you, Audrey, for making this all come to life before our eyes!

Love, Yvonne

It’s amazing when you meet certain people and there is that instant “click”!  Kinda like in a chick flick, when I laid eyes on Joy (the artist behind The Vintage Rabbit) time stopped, everything went in slow’mo and we glided across the room… OK! OK! Maybe it wasn’t quite like that, BUT, we did discover we had had so much in common.  We talked during our first meeting at Vignettes when I covered the Rachell Ashwell this past April, multiple times on the phone and through emails building inspiration upon inspiration.  We have a TON of future endeavors planned and I can’t wait for you all to see our combined projects!  It’s going to be eye candy for sure!!

This shoot was styled by Joy specifically for Pamela’s Parasols new line of party parasols for girls.  Four little girls tried and tested this product and we got eight bedazzled, feathered, flowered, and glittered thumbs up!  They had SO much fun creating their personalized parasols.  I hope that Pamela comes out with a grown up decorate-your-own parasol for us bigger girls!

Joy and the Vintage Rabbit will have their own post coming soon with more details from the event, so watch out!!
